Meet the Leader
Nick Balzano, founder of Apex Management Group, is a driven leader whose StrengthsFinder Profile highlights his qualities as an Achiever, Competitive, Focused, Disciplined, and Analytical. A proud alumnus of Leadership Rhode Island, he is dedicated to building exceptional teams and enhancing the lives of residents in the communities Apex manages.
In 2018, Nick established Zanno Property Management, leveraging over a decade of experience in transforming Rhode Island communities. In 2023, Nick acquired Apex Management Group, a firm focused exclusively on delivering outstanding value in condominium association management. Prior to this, Nick spent 11 years at Gilbane Building Company, a leading national construction management firm, where he managed over $700 million in projects across sectors including Life Sciences, Retail, Corporate Office, Higher Education, Residential Multi-family, and Small Commercial/Industrial.
Nick is also the founder and Executive Director of The Zanno Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to improving lives through real estate in Rhode Island, with a focus on providing safe, accessible housing for seniors and individuals with disabilities. He holds an MBA from the University of Rhode Island’s College of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire’s College of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
